Countertops

As we decided to redecorate, we wanted to have new counter tops installed in the kitchen. Decisions were made concerning color, material, edging and who would do the installation. New tile would be required for the backsplash to complete the look. I was very glad we chose Jerusalem stone - it had actually been quarried in Jerusalem - a holy place of God.

Well, One thing led to another, and before long, were selecting new sinks, faucets, water purifiers,garbage disposals and an instant hot faucet. We decided as long as we wererenovating the kitchen, we would replace old appliances. A gas stove topwould replace the electric, a new dishwasher, ice maker and washer and dryerwere added to the list. This was becoming more complex than I had firstenvisioned, and the price tag was rising with every decision!

The granite company sent someone out to make templates of thecountertops, and before long an installation date was set. The completed look was just as we had envisioned - a nice new look for our 17-year-old kitchen!

The old was out, - the new was in!

God calls us to be His children. He wants to replace the old in us with a brand new "God filling". His process is not complex, nor does it cost you one penny, Jesus took care of that at the cross. He simply asks us to believe that He is the Son of God, and receive Him as such. It is a matter of faith. Just like the countertops, the old will be gone, the new installed! It is wonderful!

We don't have to make decision after decision to have our lives updated into Christ. We don't have to go here and there selecting this and that. It isn't necessary for workmen to make replacements. God and God alone is all we need.

New life in Christ is an exciting adventure and one where we receive support, understanding and unconditional love. If you haven't allowed God to remove the old and bring in the new, I pray you will consider His mostwonderful offer!
