Falling Leaves III Part Four
Rebecca is still in the ancient throne room. She feels the earth shake. A fissure opens up near the tree. The man she was talking to disappears. Rebecca screams, falls and bumps her head. She opens her eyes and sees the tree; it is full of leaves and healthy. She is stunned from the blow. While she is lying on the ground she sees a vision, a group of men walking by the tree. One of the men looks like he might be Jesus. "What do you have in the box, Rebecca?" Jesus asks, "Can it do this? I curse you never again will you bear figs." Now the tree's leaves fall off. Then a snake appears, hanging on the tree, mocking her. Now there is a man hanging on it, crossways like a crucifixion. He falls off and turns into a pile of leaves on the ground. Rebecca raises up on an elbow, picks one up and looks at it. It crumbles. "Help." she calls out. "Help!" "Who do you want to help you Rebecca?" the voice of peace asks. "Which will you choose? Which one of us do you fear? Which wants to harm you? Which has harmed mankind? What is the gray dot, Rebecca?" "I don't know. Is it evil?" This question is posed in her head, but in her dazed state, she doesn't realize who it is. "Is it the invisible force that opposes anything good? Does it oppose good because it has no choice? It can only give what it has. Good proves the purity of its allegation by remaining exempt from evil so it can never touch. Love cannot be love if hate is present, and hate would not be hate in the presence of love. So they are enemies to protect themselves and they cannot help it? Is the gray dot the enemy, my enemy, if I threaten to destroy it?" "Oh God, help me! If you do not help me, I will not be helped." She hears the old man's voice. "You should know who is in your heart. The keeper of the heart is also the keeper of life. When you have the right one there he will reveal the secret you seek." "If I want God to hear me, maybe I need to invite him in. Jesus, come into my heart. Reveal the secret I seek." A beautiful dove flies into the room. It is so graceful and full of glory. It enters into Rebecca's heart. "Rebecca my child, I have been waiting for you." "Jesus, I am here," she rubs her head. She realizes she has a sprained ankle and can't get up. "Wow, I feel... so different." "God help me find the answers to the quest that possesses my life. I can find no peace until I know, I can think of nothing else." "You are only doing what I need you to do, do you not see this? Do you not know why you feel this way? Do you think this pursuit is your idea? Do you not know I have a plan for your life? I plan each life." "So then, you know what I look for?" "Of course I know what you seek, I know what you want, and I made you." "God why did you put an Angel at the east gate?" she shakes her head to clear it. "If you wanted to keep someone out of the center of a circle where would you stand?" Jesus asks her. "Along the edges." "Why would you stand at the east of the circle?" "To keep people from entering from the east." "Then where are the people?" "How can Adam and Eve be in the east, by the Euphrates? The oldest archaic hominoids are in South Africa; even Neanderthal was in Western Europe. Where's the missing link, what am I missing? I must know, am I asking things I shouldn't know, shouldn't ask? Is wanting to be wise going to get me in trouble?" "It was not through wanting to be wise Rebecca, but through disobedience, that you lost your station. Why do you think the oldest hominoids have anything to do with Adam and Eve?" "What's the truth?" "I am the truth you need Rebecca. Know me and you will know all. Follow me. You have all the questions and I have all the answers... Draw two circles." Rebecca makes two circles in the dust with her fingertips. "Arrange six leaves in each circle. Place six in two rows next to each other. Then arrange the other six at random." Rebecca obeys. "Now you can confuse one, but only one. Which one will you chose?" "What?" "Trust me." Rebecca scrambles the leaves that are in a row. "Why did you confuse that one?" "Because the other was already confused." "Exactly. Someone is confusing something that is straight. The devil does not waste his time confusing that which is already confused." "So the Bible tells us that Adam and Eve were created six thousand years ago, and that is the straight? And it says that You made man, not that he was the first man, right?" Rebecca continues her conversation with God. "But then who are these ancient peoples, like Neanderthal? Where did they come from? Where is the missing link between ancient people and modern man? Why is there no link?" "Perhaps they are not connected Rebecca, is that not straight?" "Why is there no link? What was wrong with them if you made no link? Why did they die out? If you started out with a man you wanted to evolve why did you stop?" "I know the future don't I? I would have known if they weren't going to work out." "Those people seem wrong. What happened? "You tell me." "Are these stone-age men, the hominoids from millions or at least hundreds of thousands of years ago that way because you made them that way, or are they a result of a curse? Did you at first want a more primitive type people, then smarter people?" "Why would I want to be the only smart one? I wouldn't want to be the only one like me. Would you want to be the only one? Why do you think I became a human reflection, Jesus?" "So we can be alike?" "Everything I allow that seems bad, I do to get something good. Some things can only be seen from the other side. I want to show others that it is the wrong way. How would my making a disadvantaged human help anyone? It would only show myself what not to make. Have I not always made things perfect from the beginning, and if they went astray, it was after the fact? A curse is something that goes from perfect to imperfect, not something imperfect that goes to perfect. It is not difficult to determine what parts I do and what parts I do not." "Maybe I can figure this out. There were people here before Adam and Eve? If so, what happened to them?" "What could have happened to them? "The devil in some way?" "Do you know what you are asking for, Rebecca? The same thing y8 our Grea128ft Grandmother asked for. Show me the knowledge of good and evil, to know the difference, to know all." "Is it possible to not have to possess the knowledge of good and evil?" "Once I made everything perfect, all needs met." "I do want to know the answers to the questions I ask." "Just as I granted her request, I will grant yours. In the end times, knowledge will increase." "Without this knowledge, many will not understand, like my Father. He does not believe." "I am often misunderstood for allowing evil. Because I do not always harness its manifestation, I am either thought to not exist or to be indifferent. Neither is true. If I am to allow man to gain knowledge of good and evil, how much evil will it take? How much good? How much is needed to see the difference? Now I pose a question to you. Is evil, evil? Was I right? But do not answer now. Wait until I will ask you again. I will take you on a journey through the caverns of time, to the secret past. You will have your answers." "Then I will use the knowledge for good." "I know you will, that is why I will tell what must be told. It must serve its purpose. Just like you must engage the special purpose I have for you. I have watched you make choices both good and bad and I have seen the results of those decisions. I now must make a decision, it is not going to be easy but I must show you something. Soon I will. Wait for it." Dennis appears from the shadows." Are you okay? I guess we had quite a jolt. The passageway at the top of the stairs is blocked... Rebecca?" Rebecca seems dazed. "I'm not sure, I guess my ankle is sprained. How did you get down here?" "I heard voices. So I followed the sound. Were you talking to someone? Where are they? Are they okay?" "Yes, I was earlier. I don't know where they are, but they're probably okay. This is a strange place." "Why do you carry that box with you? What's in it?" "Oh nothing, Its just a trinket box I had put my earrings in it and just happened to have it in my pocket then took it out. I thought I might need it. It has something of value in it only for the person who owns it." "Is that right? How could that be? You were going to use it to bargain with?" "Something like that. Help me up." "Did the person you were down here with threaten to harm you?" "One did, in his own way and I think he will try. But I don't think he will be able to, he is limited by what this box is and what its contents will allow." "Really? Then perhaps I had better take the treasure box for safekeeping." Dennis lunges for her hand but the crack in the floor opens deeper. As Dennis falls, he grabs hold of Rebecca's skirt. An angel holds on to Rebecca. "Dennis wait, let me take your hand." Rebecca puts the box down to help him."What is the secret in the box? I must have it." Dennis sees the box and grabs at it with one hand. As he does, an evil spirit materializes and pushes him, causing him to lose his grip. Screaming, he falls into the crevasse. The evil spirit kicks the box. "Oh, Dennis," Rebecca reaches out. "No. no," she looks down the abyss. "Dennis, Dennis!" Dennis yells as he goes down, down, down.Rebecca raises up, leaning on the tree and shakes her head. "As I said, it's only helpful to the person who owns it... Dennis. The treasure in the box you could have already had and didn't know it. It was the power to get you anything you needed. It was faith." The box goes flying through the air, it opens up and the gold leaf earrings fall out. Rebecca follows their flight; one falls through a small crack around the tree. It falls deeper, deeper, lands and hangs on the rib cage of a skeleton missing a rib, near is another set that has a perfect rib cage. Rebecca hears the voice of evil. "You want to see the bones of your ancient Mother and Father? Do you think you can expose me with dust? Look in the dark." Now she hears the voice of peace. "Help me expose his deception. He took everything from mankind once. For many he will keep it. Help me show others how to discard this cursed life. Come rise with me to the next where I will show them how I really meant it to be. Look in the Light." Watch for the sequel "Falling Rocks" See if Alex and Rebecca find the bones of Adam and Eve.
