Balancing ActUpon realizing the "tilt," I ponder the word that has kept me focused all these many years. Balance.Giving all of our emotions and energy to something as, say, parenting, may seem like a noble thing, but keep in mind, that while children may greatly benefit from such an attentive and giving parent, there is also someone who will be neglected. You. Thanks to the most recent medical information, we now know that parents need "time-outs" too, to regroup, de-stress, and take care of our own needs as well as our children's. When "we" are healthy and balanced in mind-body-spirit, so too, may our little one's reap the rewards! The same is true with our relationship with God. How often to we let the scale tip as we place job, social life, and various other projects and interests BEFORE our walk with our Creator? If we take care of mind and body, yet neglect spirit, where is the balance? While joy is eternal, obtaining a balance in life may bring more happiness and fulfillment to your soul. One thing is for sure, the reward for inviting Christ in to your life is salvation.
