Lost and Found

They are everywhere- schoolrooms, department stores, churches, sporting arenas, restaurants, airlines and other modes of transportationÂ… and the list continues. Yes, the lost and found departments are a part of our society, and I imagine they hold some unusual items. Once a friend of mine left some expensive reading glasses in a resturant, and was glad to know they had been found and turned in.. she only needed to pick them up. A special note book was also lost by someone I knew, and she too, was delighted someone placed it in the lost and found dept. Recently I heard an announcment in a small dept. store- "If you have lost a little boy wearing a red shirt and jeans, please pick him up at the lost and found dept. We have found him!"

Many things are lost, and then found, but I know of one thing that never gets lost. It is our prayers. When we lift our petitions up to the Lord, we can be assured He hears and our prayers, for it tells us in the Bible- inRevelations 8:3,4that our prayers ascend to God. Yes, God hears our prayers and answeres them, too- but - in His timing, not ours! The answer He gives us may not be the one we had hoped for, or come as quickly as we wish, but God never loses our prayers. No matter how discouraged you may be about your prayers, remember, God never lets you down. Keep praying, and keep it simple - praising and requesting- and be paitient- God has an answer for you! It will be in your best interest, also, for our heavenly Father sees the whole picture- not just what is around the next corner.
