Sand In My Shoes
This reminds me of my faith walk. I had the grains of faith and the knowledge of Jesus adhering to my soul as a youth. Then during college, I wiped away a lot of those grains. As a young adult I allowed other interests and pursuits to pressure wash more of them away. Some of those grains of faith remained, but still I wandered. My period of faithlessness and lackluster never canceled out Gods faithfulness to me. In my early forties I had a turn around in my relationship with Jesus. It was then that I began to know Him in a personal way. This was triggered by the death of a teenage friend of my daughter. It transpired with the aid of prayer, Bible reading, and nurturing Christian friendships. I am so thankful my parents raised me in the Christian faith- for Proverbs 22:6 is true. I was trained in the way I should go, and when I became more mature I did not turn from it. Thanks God, He remains faithful.
