Let the Little Children Come
Our daughter, who was recently married, is a 1st grade teacher. Now, one might think she would have enough of children during the week. However, in her sweet and loving way, she invited her entire class to come to the wedding. They were thrilled! A room mother made special invitations, and all but 4 attended the blessed event. They were dressed to the nines, with great big eyes waiting in anticipation, and smile galore. When she walked down the aisle, little heads turned, elbows poked each other, and I could just feel their excitment and happiness. I am so proud Laura invited these little ones to her wedding. She truly obeyed Jesus- she did not exclude the children- in fact she embraced them- in her most precious moment. It is a good lesson for each of us. We should make time for the little ones when God gives us the opportunity. This may apply to our children , grandchildren (very easy to do!) , or perhaps God will nudge our hearts in the grocery store or in a mall to pray for a little one we see. Whatever the case, we need to remember their importance in the eyes of God, and our responsibility to follow Jesus' words.
