LeftoversÂWe were in Carefree, Ariz. at our condo. Our daugher joined us for her thanksgiving holiday, and we decided to cook our usual turkey meal. There was turkey, dressing, mashed and sweet potatoes, vegetables, gravy, cranberry jelly and dessert. Needless to say, there were a lot of leftovers after that Thursday for us to use. In the Bible, God tells us about leftovers, too. He says we are to give Him the "first fruits" of our labor, not what is left after we have taken our fill. It is only right and fitting to give God the best we have- of our time, money and possessions. After all, everything we have and all we are was given to us from Him. I think we should show our gratitude by giving Him our best- not our leftovers.
