The End of All Things #078The point is that you may work hard all your life and assure the financial security of yourself and your family. But you may also loose your soul. Neglecting spiritual things in favor of making a good living will lead to just that. Not only so, you will loose all you have worked for. After all, you know, you cant take it with you. But here is the real irony. If in the end you humble yourself and trust Christ as the one who has paid the penalty due to you for your sins, you will not loose your soul. In addition you will inherit more than you could have ever dreamed. You see, according to God's promise, "we are looking for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells" (2 Peter 3:13). On that new earth "There shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying or pain (Revelation 21:4). And if you humble yourself before God, you will experience this new earth. For the promise is, "Blessed are the humble for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5). Are you heading in the direction of loosing your soul and everything else? Then you need to change your priorities.
