Birds Eye ViewFrom high in the sky, when I look down, buildings that look massive on the ground, appear strangely small. And people? So small you can't even see them! From this view, cities and states seem a stones throw away. As I peer out my window looking at fluffy white clouds and lakes which seem no bigger than puddles, I ponder life in general. I wonder if this is the same type of vision God wants us to use in times when life seems too hard to handle and troubles seem overwhelming? Perhaps our Creator wishes we would place at least as much trust in Him as we do when flying, leaving our life rest in the hand of the pilot if only for a few hours? Up high in the sky, I don't see violence, hatred, pollution, or have to worry about some nit-picking boss breathing down my neck. I am free to simply sit back, relax, enjoy the view and leave the driving to someone else. If only we could trust God and live life with this same type of innocence. If you are facing some sort of difficulty in your life, and troubles seem to overwhelm you, close your eyes, think of flight, and how faith in God gives you the wings to overcome adversity. Hardships which seem large today, will soon be nothing more than a thought of the past, so set your sights on God and let Him set your course.
