A Father's Love

He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think.The wedding ceremony was over, the reception winding down, and our daughter and her new husband were ready to depart for their honeymoon. "I'll call you", she said. "And Dad, thank you again for everything!" The days flew by and we heard from them several times. The time flew, and soon it was time for them to come home. On the night before their return, my husband turned to me and said" I wish I could make arrangements for them to stay for another few days in Jamaica. They are having such a good time; I would just like for them to have MORE-- more fun, more sun, more of all that they were enjoying to the fullest at that time. I thought that was a sweet sentiment, and his generous spirit touched my heart.

It wasn't long before I remembered that is exactly how God treats His precious children. Whatever we have- He wants us to have in abundance. He is glad when we have a measure of joy, peace, love , gentleness, faithfulness, self control, kindness, patience, goodness and prosperity. But He wants to give to us in abundance. He wants MORE- in fact- the MOST- for each of His children. And His desire comes out of His great love for each of us, just as my husbands desire came out of his love for his daughter.

So if you are living on the plane of mediocrity, lift your heart to the Father, and tell Him you are ready to receive all He has for you- YOU WILL not be disappointed with the blessings he bestows upon you,in his time and in his way.
