Pool Rules

As I lay beside the pool at the motel we were staying in Winter Haven, Fla. I couldn't help but notice the large sign which said-"Pool Rules".The list was not too long, but each rule was very important to follow, for the safety of the swimmer. I was glad the sign had been posted, and hoped each swimmer would read it and try to abide by the rules.

You know, there are rules for life, also. God has given them to us in the Bible, and has done so with great love. He has given us standards to meet and guidelines to live by- not so we would be bogged down with rules- but that we might live the ABUNDANT LIFE He has planned for us. In the Old Testament we have the 10 commandments, given to Moses on Mt. Sinai. In the New Testament, Jesus gives us guideline to live by- such as love your neighbor as yourself. He tells us many times to give to the poor, the widows and the needy;to love the least, the last and the lost; to put self aside and love God with all your heart, mind and soul; to forgive. The rules of life are there for us to read, we just need to open our Bibles and start reading. God will speak to your heart about which rules pertain to your life for the given moment.

Pool rule make is safe for the swimmer. God's rules make living a victorious life a reality. Let's all open our Bibles and see what God has to say to us today!
