I Only Have Eyes for You

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever shall believeth in Him shall mot perish but have everlasting life.The long awaited time had finally arrived! The wedding day of our daughter was filled with excitement and love for everyone was being tossed about freely.The moment arrived as she walked down the aisle on her father's arm, and all heads turned toward her. All but mine, that is, for my eyes were watching the face of her husband to be. He had a smile as big as all outdoors, and his eyes were glued to her- neither glancing right or left- as she walked down that long aisle to become his bride. He truly only had "eyes for her."

The same is true about Jesus. The Bible tells us He is the bridegroom, and He is waiting for His Bride. The body of believers is His bride, and He will be watching with great love in His eyes as the Bride approaches Him for the Marriage of the Lamb.If you were the only person on this earth, He would have still willingly given His life for you, taking your sins so you could live eternally with God, only having eyes for you. He know each of us intimately, even to the intentions of our hearts, loving us and keeping His eyes upon us.Surely we can claim and sing the hymn - "Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace."
