The Season of Darkness
If you have ever been on an international flight, a lot of them have an in-flight broadcast of where your plane is over the earth, and where we are in relation to the sun and how close we are to the darkness. What baffled me, is that when you looked where the computer said was dark, it was a relatively small area of the display. This means that even when it is dark, there are a lot more places where there is light cast by the sun. This was a simple reminder to me that even though it is dark at times and we seem to be in the dark a lot, there is light. Sometimes it is at the end of the tunnel, sometimes it is burning behind the bushel, but the point is that light is a light given by God. Our job is to find the light which is Jesus Christ, and give it fuel. The fuel is our souls. Let it consume your soul so everything you do radiates Jesus. There is an e-mail going around and around that has a picture of two smiling gorillas and it says a short poem about smiles and how they are contagious and how a smile can make it around the world. I say, if a smile is that contagious, how much more contagious is the love of Christ?
