Handmade

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.. So God created man in his own image.       Genesis 1:26-27Maybe it sounds corny, but I like handmade presents best.  Not to say I don’t like silver and sparkly, but a handmade gift is a treasured bit of the gift-giver.

This past Christmas I received a card from Taylor, my eleven-year-old granddaughter. It was special because she thought of it, she created it with love, customized it just for me, and gave it to me. Another special present was a double picture frame, with two photos in it, from my sister. The old black and white on the left is the two of us when were were really young.  On the right is a photo of us at my birthday recently. A special gift, handmade with love, and holding countless memories.

Do you know we are handmade gifts? To the world, and to each other.  God made us, and we know that without Him nothing was made that was made.

Handmade gifts.  Sharing the heart and soul of the giver. Handmade... the best.
