Passion Awaits!"You must worship... only the LORD, for he is a God who is passionate about hisrelationship with you." Exodus 34:14 I bet you didn't know that God is "passionate" about His relationship with you! He isn't just concerned or interested, but He is actually "passionate" about how you feel about Him, and how He feels about you! What an awesome gift God wishes to bestow on us, and yet, there are people who want nothing to do with this great love. Not only do they reject God, but everything that comes with a relationship with Him, such as peace, joy, wisdom and understanding, and most of all, salvation! I have felt God's "passion" about me, but never more than when I lost my way and fell in to sin. Like an attentive spouse or caring friend, God did not turn His back on me, but He kept letting me know how dangerous my sinful lifestyle was. When I was entrenched in sadness and confusion, God did not abandon me, but let me know that He was still there just waiting for me to grab hold of His hand. It was I who had rejected Him, not He who rejected me. The Lord kept sending people in my path who would sow seeds of love and wisdom. Then, one day, the seeds finally took root in my heart. Too weak to stand on my own, God lifted me up as He heard my cry of repentance, and He took me quickly in to His tender embrace. "How can you do this?" I asked Him in my mind. "How can you take me back when I have been so bad, and such a dishonor to you?" His answer, "Because I love you." Today, won't you consider your relationship with God? Passion awaits!
