Accept The Invitation - Message #008

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and me! He came to save men and women from eternal death in hell, to grant them forgiveness, to wash away their guilt, and to lead these same men and women on the path to heaven. He says, "Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). This is Christ's gracious invitation to you.

Why don't you accept this invitation? This is the alternative to living with a constant load of guilt because of sin. You are responsible to God. You know you have not lived up to His standards. But the alternative is forgiveness! The wonderful option is a clear conscience.

Some laugh and say, "Ignore those feelings of guilt. They will go away!" But they never really do. Others say, "Religion is a crutch I can do without." But can you do without the blessing of a clear conscience?

Why not respond to Christ's offer of Himself? Trust Him as your sin bearer. Ask Him to wash you clean on the inside. Believe in Christ as your way to heaven. He promises, "The one who comes to me I will certainly not cast out" (John 6:37). So do not delay! Christ is calling you and saying, "Come to me." Accept His invitation!
