Truth Tales

"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction and training in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

Recently I was on a " girls' getaway week-end" with my six prayer partners. One evening we played a game where each lady told two truths and one made up story about things she had done in her life. This provided lots of laughs, surprises and new insights into these special sisters in Christ as each shared her stories.

This game, which emphasized truth, brought to my mind the source of "real truth stories". They are from God, in our Holy Bible. From Genesis to Revelations we have narratives which astound, surprise and touch our hearts. We meet Biblical characters who display many personality traits ranging from love to hate, compassion to apathy and fear to courage.

I am thankful for the truth in God's Word. From simple Biblical passages to entire stories, God has used the Bible (both old and new testaments) to touch my heart and guide my life.

Let's all open our Bibles and read some of those "truth stories" today!
