AnnouncementsLuke 2:10,11 And the angel of the Lord said unto them, fear not, for I bring you good tidings of great joy, for unto you this day is born a savior, who is Christ the Lord. Announcements are made in many ways..some bold.. some dull..some clever. I remember when my husband and I received a clever and most wonderful announcement from our daughter and her husband. They handed us a card, saying it was for our anniversary, and would we open it while they were with us. As we did, the first words popped into view, and the tears of joy flooded my eyes. In my excitement, I hastily closed the card and my poor hubby didn't know what happened! The good news of their pregnancy finally hit both of us, and we were delighted. Many years ago an angel made a profound announcement. It was the time he hovered over the shepherds announcing the birth of the Christ child. Now that was some announcement! I am sure it got the attention of those shepherds, and they must have been so excited to see the baby Jesus. It is time for us to announce to others what God has done in our lives, and how. If He has helped us during difficult times, given us comfort, guidance and peace- we mustn't keep that good news to ourselves. Announce to those whom God puts in your path the GOOD NEWS. There is a God who loves and cares for you each of us. Then pray for that person to know Him personally, and be thankful you were obedient in your announcement.
