Just One PersonI've met a lot of people through the course of my life, And none is more important to me, than my wife, She shares my joys and my sorrows too, She helps keep me balanced and I need that, I do. I've met a lot of people through the course of my years, Some have become friends that I hold very dear, They pray and lift me up to the Lord, I treasure they're insight and respect they're words. I've met a lot of people through the course of my time, Many stuck with me when the sun didn't shine. They anchored my life in the rock of their love, Which I now realize came from above. But I've only met one person who would actually die for me, And He did that on a cross at a place called Calvary, He took the place, of where, I should have been, And you know what amazes me? He would do it again. You see, Jesus took all of my sins on that day, And with His blood from the cross, washed them away, I owe Him more than I can ever repay, Jesus, thank-you, what more can I say.
