Man's Folly or God's Truth?

When a street preacher asked a young man if Jesus Christ was Lord of his life, the man replied, "I believe in God, and that is all that matters." The young intellectual then went on to explain his personal belief system; ideas and philosophies which he molded from his own logic.

Believing in God alone is not enough, for this begs the question, "who is God?" and the Bible clearly states that it is through Christ Jesus the Son of God that we are saved.

"I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die." -John 11:25-26

Many people have a god in their life. For one person, the god may be money. For another, their god may be fame or material riches. Another person may worship nature, or a golden statue who they believe has special powers.

My dear friend, just because we may believe something is true, doesn't mean it is. However, it is through our desire to truly know what is good and acceptable in God's sight that we may take the first step toward our salvation.
