My ComputerI had saved my money for months, researched the decision for weeks, fretted for days, then finally took the step to buy a new computer. It was the fastest and best I could afford and when it finally arrived, I was like a child at Christmas. I hooked it all up, turned on the power, and when Windows95 finished booting up, I saw nothing more than a blank screen with a small icon in the upper left corner that said "My Computer." A smile slowly etched across my face and a sense of pride and satisfaction came over me as I thought, "Yes, this is MY computer! I own this one. I can't wait to see all that 'My Computer' can do!" "Say to the owner of the house he enters, 'The Teacher asks: Where is My guest room...?'" Mark 14:14 The Teacher was Jesus, the time was near the Jewish Passover Celebration, the place was Jerusalem, and Jesus was looking for a place to celebrate this festival with His disciples. He sent a disciple ahead to find the right location and to ask an interesting question: Where is my room? Not: Where is a room, or where is the room, or could you spare a room, but rather, Where is My room? Where is the room that is set aside specifically for Me? Where is the room that is intended for My purposes? Where is the room that is furnished and ready for My holy moment? "Where is My guest room?" Christ is still asking the same question: Where is My room? And in the home of your life, how might you answer Him? Your room is the foyer, where all who enter will know You are present in this home. Your room is the kitchen, for You are our provision and our source of strength. Your room is the family room, where You are the center of our family, our fellowship, our friendships and our entertainment. Your room is the bedroom, where we rest, secure in the knowledge of your protection. Your room is the study, for all knowledge begins and ends in You. Your room is the tool closet, for all my works of service are in vain, if they do not start with You. Your room is even the deck out back, where You can watch Your sunset over Your creation and remind us each day that all You have created is indeed very good. So when Christ ask you, "Where is my room?" Which of these rooms will you give Him? It's a hard decision. Why not make it easy on yourself and give Him all of them?
